How it works
School photos with Apollo & Ivy are different from the old standard school pics. No marbled backgrounds or props here!
Fine art school photos keep the focus on your child’s unique personality. I spend time with them, make them smile and laugh, then capture their expressions, from pensive to sweet to silly.
Your next steps
- Pre-register your child for picture day before September 20, 2026.
You can request sibling photos* and set a password for your child’s photos if you like. You’ll also get access to your photos 24 hours earlier than the gen pop!
*For sibling photos, all children must be capable of sitting unassisted.
After picture day
- A link to the gallery will be shared on Brightwheel within 2-3 weeks.
- Your child will have their own album containing the best 4–8 images in color and black & white. If sibling photos turn out, they get their own album, too.
- Choose a package or order a la carte prints, canvases, and digital downloads. Prices start at $10 for a 4×6 print. There’s no obligation to buy.
What to wear
Your child’s photos will be taken against a black backdrop, so keep that in mind when choosing clothing.
I recommend…
- Light-colored tops in solid colors or subtle prints. Consider colors that make your child’s eye color pop!
- Small hair accessories, like bows, headbands, or barrettes at the side of the head.
- Details that add visual interest: suspenders, ruffles, a cute little bow-tie… lots of options!
- For babies, choose tops that don’t darken when they get wet (slobber is inevitable with the littlest ones)!
Avoid if you can…
- Black and dark gray
- Ultrabright and neon colors
- Small thin stripes or small checkered prints
- Logos or large words
Consider allowing your child to pick a favorite outfit within these parameters to capture even more of their personality!
