Oh, the chaos of getting out of the house with a newborn. It doesn’t matter if it’s your first or your fifth—leaving home in those early days is an exercise in stress.
Lifestyle newborn sessions capture memories of the newborn early days without the stress of traveling. Stay in the comfort of home and schedule your session anytime in baby’s first few weeks.
Bare feet, blue jeans, siblings jumping on the bed, curious pets, sunlight streaming through the window… Real is the name of the game.
I’ll get shots of just baby—chillin’ in the crib or bassinet—plus baby wrapped up in your arms, snoozing on Dad’s chest, with the entire family, and baby with siblings, too.
Lifestyle newborn means no buckets or beanbags; just Baby and the people most important to them.
I’ll guide you to places in your home where light is best—it doesn’t have to be the nursery. Your house doesn’t need to be spotless. Everyone wears what they’re comfortable in. No elaborate outfits needed, including for baby.
There’s a theme here: relaxed, comfortable, and low stress.
All you need to do is breathe in your sweet new baby’s smell and marvel at the human you made. I’ll capture it all.

About Newborn Sessions
I want you to feel super confident about working with me from the get-go. Here are some of the questions I’m often asked by families I work with.
What's a "digital image"?
It’s a high-quality jpeg image file that you’ll download, and they’re yours to keep. You can do just about anything you like with them! Many of my families share them online, include a few in their holiday card, or make them into a photo book… anything goes!
Where will we have our session?
Newborn sessions happen in the comfort of your home, and if it’s nice and we can step out on the porch, even better.
Do you need a house straight out of an Insta feed of a DIY influencer? Not at all. Ideally, we’ll shoot in the nursery and anywhere else in your home that gets natural light. In a pinch, a small space next to a large window or sliding door is perfectly sufficient.
Do you do wrapped or fine art photos?
Lifestyle newborn photos don’t include buckets, headbands, or props. Baby’s in your arms as much as they want to be, and the focus is on Baby, Mom, and the Family. I’ll get plenty of closeups of that sweet wittle face, and lots of shots of Baby with his Most Important People.
When should I book my newborn photos?
The blissful second trimester is a perfect time to reserve your spot on my schedule. I recommend booking your session 3+ months before your due date.
If you’re due in the fall, the situation’s a little different, because it’s peak photo season and you can’t wait until the last minute or everyone will be booked solid. Get your newborn session on the books 5+ months before your due date.

What can I get with a print credit?
Your gallery is linked to an online “store” where you can buy prints (like 5×7 or 8×10, for example), canvases, acrylic prints, metal prints, birth announcements, and custom-made albums (my FAVORITE for newborns!). Check out the prices for everything in the gallery store.
