Talk to me, Goose

I won't hold you in suspense; you'll hear from me within 24 hours.

“Lydia was nothing short of amazing to work with. She paid attention to every detail leading up to the day of the shoot, and then made it fun, even with a semi-reluctant subject.”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What areas do you serve?

I’m based in North Liberty, Iowa, and photograph in Johnson and Linn counties, including Iowa City, Coralville, Tiffin, Oxford, Solon, Cedar Rapids, Mt. Vernon, Ely, and Swisher. I travel to photograph seniors and families in the Des Moines metro a few times a year, too!

When should I book my session?

Families: Outdoor sessions, especially in the fall, fill quickly. Schedule fall sessions before June 1 For spring and summer outdoor sessions, schedule a minimum of 6 weeks before you’d like your photos. Indoor family sessions (Nov–Apr) can be booked 3–5 months prior.

Seniors: Six to nine months before senior year starts. Miss the window? Contact me anyway; if I can’t squeeze you in, I can refer you to another local photographer who can!

Newborns: Two to six months before your due date; even earlier if baby’s due August–October.

Do you offer payment plans?

A 25% retainer is due at booking to hold your spot on my schedule. The remainder is due five days before your session.

Your session fee can be divided into up to 10 installments; just ask!

You can pay by credit card or bank transfer. Venmo or cash payment options are available by request.

Do you take other kinds of photos?

I’ve been known to do a bit of photography and even video for businesses and brands, but my availability for these projects is limited. You’re welcome to inquire by emailing me (scroll up to find my contact info). If I’m able to help, I will—or I’ll recommend another local photographer who can.

Where is your studio located?

I don’t have a brick & mortar location or studio, since I photograph on-location. That means I take photos in public outdoor spaces, your home, or at one of a handful of indoor locations that I can rent for a small added fee.

Where can I see session details?

What you’re after is probably already here on the site, so let’s get you to the right place! These links contain details about packages, pricing, and what to expect working with me for each type of session:

I no longer photograph extended families, but I’d be happy to put you in touch with another photographer who does. Use the contact info above to get in touch.
