Locations
You’ll share the vibes you want—urban, modern, vintage, flower field, farm, willow tree, or something else—and I’ll find locations that look amazing.

Dialed in
I plan your session carefully: locations, timing, and outfits. For Signature sessions, we’ll Zoom beforehand (helps with the “Oh hi rando with a camera” thing).

Easy does it
Getting you comfortable is my job and I’m pretty damn good at it. I’ll show you the photos as we go (you can see how great you look!) and we’ll listen to your favorite songs.
“Lydia, you are amazing. You made the whole process so easy and fun! The way you instantly made Olivia feel comfortable, we knew you’d be the perfect person to take her photos. I’m so thankful we found you!”
— Lisa S., senior parent

Sports Photo FAQs
Which sports can be photographed this way?
I’ve photographed swimming, baseball, wrestling, football, soccer, weightlifting, and more. If it moves, we can photograph it! Have an unusual sport? Contact me to get details.
Where are sports photos taken?
On your home turf—where you play! Most athletes get permission to use their school or team facilities.
How does The Everything Option work?
It’s ideal if you want next-level sports pics but traditional senior photos, too. We’ll do sports on one date, outdoor pics on another. You’ll get a big gallery with photos you’ll love and Grandma will, too.
Can we photograph two sports in one session?
Depends on the locations. Contact me to find out!
Can I share a sports session with a friend?
Yes! Two athletes in the same sport can share a session and split the fee. A sports-only session for two is $2,100 ($1,050 each). All gallery images are downloadable.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
About Senior & Grad Sessions
I want you to feel super confident about working with me from the get-go. Here are some of the questions I’m often asked about senior and college grad sessions.
Can I download my photos?
Yep! Your photos will be downloadable from your gallery as JPEG files that are yours to keep. They’re high-quality and you can do just about anything you like with them! Seniors like to share them on Insta for Senior Sundays, but they’re also great for grad announcements, photo books to share at grad parties… just about anything goes. ![]()
Are photo prints an option?
Yep! Your gallery will be linked to my favorite pro print lab, with unbeatable quality. You can get traditional paper prints, canvases, metal prints, and more. I keep print prices affordable, so they won’t break the bank, either.
See a full product price list.
Do you photograph college grads?
Yep, with a few key differences.
Spring vs Fall: Spring grad photos can be taken indoors or outdoors. December grads are limited to indoor locations (trust me, UIOWA campus is not pretty in December).
UIOWA grads: I wholeheartedly recommend a sunrise session to avoid the worst of the congestion at the Old Capitol.
Locations: I always recommend including a second location that’s special to you!
Pricing: College grad photos use the same pricing as outlined above.
Groups: You can share your session with a friend and both get photos at each location; there’s a $150 add-on fee.
About Champagne Sprays… They’re a no-go for me—too risky for my gear and not ideal for campus spaces. If you still want that bubbly vibe, bring alcohol-free, sugar-free carbonated water, and we’ll make it happen.
Will you suggest locations?
Yep—it’s definitely not on you to come up with locations!
I’ll send a questionnaire after you book where you can share the kind of locations you like, plus places you love to go and are meaningful to you.
We’ll create a location plan that’s designed just for you. Do you dig the urban vibe? I’ll find the perfect alleys to complement your outfits. Want to splash in a creek, or a field of wildflowers? I might get poison ivy (#truestory), but dammit, we’ll get it done.
I have a long list of beautiful locations, and I’ll find places (or go hunting for new ones) that look great and complement your outfits.
About outdoor sessions in winter…
Sessions between May 1 and November 1 can be outdoors or indoors. Between November and May, we’ll do your photos indoors—on the UIOWA campus, in a greenhouse, an art museum—there are more options than you think!
Sports sessions for indoor sports can take place any time of year.
What about twins?
Twofers are totally doable.
You can book either package—Low-Key or Signature—if they can agree on the same locations.
If they have different ideas about what location vibes they want, book the Signature session; each twin can choose up to two locations.
Finally, there’s a $100 twin add-on to the session fee to split the session time.
Can I split my session over two dates?
Yep! There’s an upcharge of $250 for the extra session time, planning, and travel. Perfect for a gallery with summery outfits AND cozy fall sweaters.
How fast will I get my photos?
I deliver your gallery 2-3 weeks after your session. August to October, you’ll wait a max of 30 days.
Waiting months for your photos is a major drag, so I take a limited number of clients each month to serve you better and keep my turnaround speedy.
When should I book?
The best time to book me for a senior session is during the last half of junior year.
If senior year’s already started, reach out anyway! There are indoor options that may be perfect for your situation, or I can refer you to another local photographer I partner with. Fill this out and I’ll get back to you ASAP.
If you’re early to the party (anytime before January of junior year), add your name to the waitlist. There’s no obligation to book. You’ll just get first dibs when booking opens!
Hi, I’m Lydia
My senior photos looked just like everyone else’s. Yours won’t. I’ll find ways to bring what you love into your session—whether that’s comic books, biology, ballet, or cookie-baking. You’ve got enough to juggle right now, so I keep things organized, easy, and genuinely fun from start to finish.
“My son hates having his photo taken and thinks every photo of him is awful. This is the first time that he has been proud of his photos. You gave him so much confidence!”
— Nikki, senior parent
